Medford Police Academy History

The Medford police department has a proud history. We have operated a regional police academy since about 1967. Numerous police departments in Massachusetts have sent their officers here for basic recruit training and specialized training. To date approximately 36 Basic Recruit Police Officer Academy Classes have graduated from our facility. A list of local police departments who have sent their officers to this academy numbers over 50.
