Central Records Office
The central records office contains thousands of police records. Certain
records such as arrests records are protected under the
CORI laws of
Massachusetts others are distributed on a "need to know" policy based, procedural process
as mandated by law. Any
questions pertaining to certain records should be directed to the clerks
assigned to this office. Please note: Residential Parking Permits will be given
to the public starting December 1, 2007. Cost is still $10, payable by check or
money order ONLY (see Obtaining Residential Parking
Permits)

Central Records Unit
The clerks assigned to the Central Records Unit can provide records and
permits for the following items:
- Residential Parking Permits (annual)
- To Medford residents only for parking in designated areas according to
your address.
- You must have a valid M/V registration with that specific Medford
address.
- You must have a check or money order for $10.00, payable to "City of
Medford" NO CASH.
- Please come in person to the PD with all the above to get your sticker
(call first for office hours).
- You are also allowed to have a visitor's pass for a limited use.
- Senior Citizens Parking Permits (annual)
- To Senior Citizens of Medford, living near Medford Square.
- You must have a valid M/V registration with that specific Medford
address.
- You can only park in the Municipal Lots at Riverside & Clippership Drive
(not City Garage)
- No fee
- Motor Vehicle Accident Reports (Filed and Completed)
- Insurance Companies please submit a letter and $5.00 for each report.
- For serious accidents/fatalities please submit your request through the
Accident Investigation Unit.
- Citizens please come in person or submit a letter requesting the
specific report with the date of accident, location, time and at least one
M/V involved, (keep in mind that the other operator's narrative is not
obtainable by either party while the accident is still under investigation).
- Local Record Check (for you or your child)
- Have a valid ID
- Can only obtain your own record, or your child's (if under 18)
- Local Record Check (you are a Law Enforcement Officer)
- Have a valid Police/Agent/State-Federal Investigator's ID
- No cost or Fee
- Rates & Fees for Reports/Permits
- $5.00 per M/V Accident Report
- $1.00 per Department Incident Report, .50 cents for each page
thereafter.
- $10.00 for annual Residential Parking Permit
