Traffic & Accident Investigation Unit (designated streets needing RESIDENTIAL STICKERS)

The Medford police department has a number of police officers trained in accident investigation, including one full time specialist in advanced accident reconstruction. Not all motor vehicle accidents in Medford require a police response. Police usually respond to all personal injury accidents and accidents that pose major safety and traffic congestions problem. Keep in mind that because of limited resources, not all accidents can be investigated. However, when motor vehicle accidents occur involving death or very serious injury, the police department calls the accident reconstruction investigator to the scene.  NOTE: all accidents happing in Medford, MA that are not on STATE ROADS please send the accident report to: Medford Police, 100 Main Street, Medford, MA 02155, Attn: MVA.
